130cm Railgun. 7mm shaft, Picasso reel. Picasso Century handle. 20mm rubber. Finally, the last of my alloy guns. (I think). Proven big fish killer.

Hi Brett,

Off Topic questions but I picked up one of the reels that you have on that gun for $20. I have chucked it on my gun but I only have $20 worth of confidence in it, how did it perform against a serious fish?

Cheers,
-dan

Silly question. Is not a game rod. You don't fight fish holding the gun/reel. You fight it from the line.l

Very little effort required, unfortunately.

I appreciate you pointing out the obvious Brett, I was more concerned that the reels tacky/all plastic construction wouldn't stand up to a decent run from a fish.

These reels are as durable as ANY! There should be no pressure put on reel, ever. The sole purpose of reel is to store line. If wound on correctly, line can do nothing but spool readily.
