Went to the cliffy kind of islands yesterday only to be greated with amazing viz/fish!
My first ever king and it went 12.475kg

well it was myself. Jake and watto who jumped out of the boat flashers were deployed and worked for about 5-10 mins. Jake took a drop under them and nothing was around on his accent i went down just for a look and out of the corner of my eyes i seen some big fuck off fish and realised they were kingys!! Following a fish i took the shot and nailed him just a fraction high though still a great holding shot the fish took off like a freight train straight to the bottom trying its hardest to reef me... I had trouble keeping it off the bottom though what felt like 10mins. Which was only about 2 the fish started to tier and from there the fish was dispatched. And thats my forst Kingy!!

And ozzy tell alex im keen to share if she shoots me a nice makky. And i hope to see you guys up around september some time!

After packing the car and driving half way down the monash to Western Districts comp, spoke to some of the guys at Port Fairy about the conditions and turned the car around (glad I did). Chased kings with Muzza, ended up with 2 fish each, biggest a touch under 12kg.
