Hi Jack, Gezmeister is correct, there are sessions once a week in Melbourne and once a week in Geelong which can be attended by completing the administration pre-requisites. Access to aquatic venues for freediving training is a very sensitive issue, not just in VIC but nationwide. In SA there is a blanket ban and no pool allows freediving training, not even for world champions. There are options as Gezmeister suggests and I can assist with privately run pool training sessions (individual or group) if there's interest. As an example of the sensitivity of the pool access issue, discussions with one aquatic venue have been ongoing for 6 months and it is still not possible to freedive train, even under strict controls and with risk management protocols. Sorry to sound like the proverbial wet blanket, just talking from experience. Please be careful, whatever you decide to do or wherever you seek to train. Hi Cdog, If you decide to go ahead with offering some pool training next season, feel welcome to get in touch, I can provide some insight into navigating the pool access process and requirements. Happy to collaborate with you to get something up and running, there's certainly a degree of emerging interest down the peninsula. Cheers, Marlon |
