Where do people normally go to hunt bigger fishes?
Kings, Tuna, Coota etc.

And what sort of signs can be given that a big fish is in the area?

And is there a technique which they find improves their chances?

i'm still learning as well...

but i was kinda exactly the same as u and still em.. keen to see big fish.

i would say probably back beaches... think they get portland off tuna.. or maybe even westernport they see kings or wilsons prom.. i suppose just keep your ears open to whats going around

try snapper, salmon in the bay.... use burley dude and i reckon you'd see some decent snapper..(pilchards and maybe shake it)

basically the more u go.. the more u learn and kind a find your own style

maybe just work your way up...I havent even got a snapper yet.. but i've seen decent sized ones

I know you hear it alot but that's one of the best things you get out of becoming a member! The networking changes everything, you can pick up snippets of info on here but you won't hear about alot of the juicy stuff!

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe Portland is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.
