I'm sorry to hear that immortal. It’s easy to forget the dangers sometimes when you're having such a good time. You guys put together a very good tribute for him, and any spearo would appreciate that.

That is very sad, I am very sorry to hear it. Buddies are so important, we should respect and appreciate each other more and take what we do more seriously.

Sad news, I hate hearing about diver deaths. On the topic of SWB, International Freediving issue 62 has a great article "Practical Safety for Modern Freediving" that covers the safety topics we should all know about. Everyone should have a read...

Correct breathing not only pre dive but post dive is extreamely important to preventing SWB and so to is progressing slowly and with safety.

Hi All,
good advice, the only safe breath-hold diving is done with a buddy familiar with blackout rescues.
I have a document on freediving safety and blackout rescues here to summarise the main points :-
