This year’s (2013) Southern Freedivers club trip has been set in the club calendar for the weekend of April 6 & 7th or longer for those die hards! The two day trip has been set for Cape Conran in the state's east and should be a fantastic trip with excellent diving. We will be staying at the Banksia Bluff camping area in the Cape Conran Coastal Park which is a bush camping area. This will be a great opportunity for those wanting to scope out this area for next years Vic Titles. There is a launching area for boats and skis, I will be bringing my tinny. All welcome.

Cape Conran is awesome. If the weather gods play nice then at least a couple of records should fall.

The camp ground at East Cape is really nice, good shade, fireplaces and close to the beach but I guarantee it's booked out for Easter . There is a couple of really good camp sites in the state forest nearby though.

Should now be able to make this trip. With any luck weather will hold. As there is a ramp I will probably drag the ski down.

Hey mate, as Kurt said... ALL WELCOME!

I have made some enquiries and the campsite fees are $29.70 per campsite based on four people!!

It is the same cost even if only one person camps there!!! WHAT A RORT!!

There is no need to book as the guarantee me there will be enough room for us all.

You will need to bring in drinking water, fuel etc, there is no shop in the immediate area.

This should be a fantastic trip, I hope to see a good turn out!!

BIG REMINDER:

There is a concrete launching area with small jetty for boats and skis; I will be bringing my tinny.

The campsite fees are $29.70 per campsite based on four people. There is no need to book as the rangers have guaranteed me there will be enough room for us all as the Easter rush will be over. You will need to bring in drinking water, fuel, food etc, as there is no shop in the immediate area and the nearest towns are Marlo or Orbost. I hope to see a good turnout, all welcome.
